Released in İstanbul, Tokyo, Japan and London simultaneously as a hand numbered, limited edition record with the collaboration between Montreux Jazz Archives, Montreux Sounds and Caz Plak İstanbul, Okay Temiz’s Oriental Wind Live at Montreux Jazz Festival 1982 is a Turkish Jazz gem is a glimpse to Turkish Jazz’s unearthed territories.

Never before released recording also combines the late 70’s Turkish Psychedelic elements into more liberated versions of known Anatolia structures such as 9/8 rhythm sections. Okay Temiz’s Oriental Wind Live at Montreux 1982 also offers a masterful improvisation manifest to recorded jazz music from a less familiar part of the world.

Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98
